SERVE

Are you eager to make a difference?

Lake Forest Church is not an institution or a building, it’s a community of people who are on a journey of pursuing Jesus – together. And we need each other to make it all happen. That’s why we encourage everyone to find a way to be a part of what God is doing at their LFC community.

There are so many places to make an impact at Lake Forest: little kids, big kids, on stage, behind a camera, saying hello, packing us up and on and on. Not only does your service honor God and show love to our church tribe, it’s also a great way to meet others.

Kidtropolis Children’s Ministry

Join our Children’s Ministry team of “Heroes” by providing a nurturing and dynamic environment to learn about and experience God in our Early Childhood and Elementary programs (Infants – 5th grade). There’s opportunity to greet and check-in families, lead small groups, provide technical support, sing, act, or create as you partner with parents on the spiritual growth of their children.

If you have a heart for leading children and are eager to share God’s lessons and love, we hope you will consider a role in Kidtropolis.

re:mix Youth Ministry

Join a team of youth mentors who are walking alongside our middle and high school students as they navigate their teenage years and explore their faith. Our youth leaders serve by connecting with a few students each week, helping lead our weekly youth gathering and attending special events and retreats.

If you are faithful, dependable, relational and think teenagers are great, we’d love to start a conversation with you.

First Contact

Feeling welcomed matters. And every role on our First Contact team directly impacts how our new guests and old friends feel when they arrive on our campus.

Parking Ministers: It can get crazy out there without this team! Help direct traffic flow, keep pedestrians safe AND wear a spiffy yellow vest to boot!

Greeters: Feeling welcomed matters. Provide warm and hospitable greetings by serving at one of the entrances and help new guests find their way. In addition, you will be responsible for taking up the offering and distributing Sunday morning materials.

Coffee Bar Team: Serve up coffee and lemonade with a smile! Coffee bar team members will also set up and tear down the coffee station and keep it stocked.

Info Table Hosts: Help new guests learn how we roll and answer their questions in the Info Center. You can be the start of helping others discover their role in God’s story at Lake Forest.

If you like meeting and talking to people and have a helpful and caring attitude, First Contact is a great place to share your gifts.

Campus Operations

There’s a difference between hosting an event/class and hosting an event/class that runs smoothly. Logistics matter. Being ready matters. And that’s where our awesome Campus Operations teams shine.

Check-in Team: Sunday morning or week day opportunities.
Come be a friendly and helpful resource as folks register and check in for LFC programs, classes and events using our computer kiosks.

Events Set-Up Team: Serve as duty calls.
Bring your “get it done” attitude and some muscle to help us transform our rooms (putting out chairs and tables, setting up A/V equipment, etc.) for whatever event is up next.

If you are innovative, technical, have the ability to transform spaces, or have a general “get it done” attitude, this is a great place to serve.
